The Scientific Program of our Annual Meeting (SBFis-2015) is now on the SBFis website (
www.sbfis.org.br) or in the Congress website (www.sbfis2015.com). 
This year our Annual Meeting will be multidisciplinary with scientific features plenary and award lectures, workshops, students courses, oral and posters sessions, and exhibits of an array of equipment, supplies and publications required for research labs and experimental study.

FIRST CALL FOR PROPOSALS OF PLENARY AND KEYNOTE LECTURES

All proposals must be submitted through the Congress website (www.iups2017.com) in the period from March 2, 2015 to June 8, 2015. The selected Plenary and Keynotes Speakers will be announced in the second half of 2015, just after the meeting of the ISPC in Brazil on July 31st and August 1st . We wish to remind you that the topic of the speaker should fall within the theme of a Congress of Physiological Sciences. In case of any doubt or question related to the preparation and submission of your proposal, please do not hesitate in contacting Dr. Benedito H. Machado (bhmachad@fmrp.usp.br) and Dr. Walter F. Boron (walter.boron@case.edu).


Programa Multicêntrico de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Fisiológicas- SBFis


O Programa Multicêntrico de Pós-Graduação (PMPG) em Ciências Fisiológicas, em nível de mestrado e doutorado, é uma iniciativa inédita da SBFis no cenário acadêmico brasileiro. Este programa atualmente com conceito 4 da CAPES é constituído por instituições nucleadoras e associadas, as quais atuando em rede tem contribuído para a formação de novos fisiologistas.

BRAZILIAN PHYSIOLOGY HIGHLIGHTS

In the last Experimental Biology Meeting (March 28th - April 1st), Dr. Benedito H. Machado (FMRP-USP) was nominated the "Carl Ludwig Distinguished Lecture of the APS Neural Control & Autonomic Regulation Section". The Carl Ludwig Award honors a world-renowned, distinguished investigator who has made major contributions toward a better understanding of some aspect of autonomic regulation in normal and/or disease states. Dr. Benedito H. Machado will receive the award in the next Experimetnal Biology Meeting (2016).

Dr. Walter A. Zin (UFRJ), former president fo SBFis (2005-2006) e President of FeSBE was nominated to the National Academy of Medicine (ANM). The ANM is one of the oldest institution of science and culture in continuous operation. Founded under the reign of D. Pedro I emperor, on June 30th, 1829, its goal is to contribute to the study, discussion and theent os medical practice, surgery, public health and related science
